Question I have a Honda HR-215-FL walk behind mower with a 3 speed transmission. The axle broke (on the short end)between the transmission and the wheel. The transmission seems to still be functional since the other wheel still turns when the clutch is engaged. How difficult of job would it be to replace just the axle, rather than the entire transmission? Where would I obtain the parts?
Answer Hello Bill:
I Really Can Not Answer the Question; How Difficult is the Repair. Some People have No Problem Using a Breakdown and Doing 90% of the Repair with Some Questions that I Answer Using a Site Addy for Reference. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the Catalog American Honda. Now Select Lawn Mower. Then Scroll Down and Select your Model Mower. Then Select the Transmission File. This is a Breakdown of the Transmission and you can Purchase Parts from this Site Also. I have Never Had Problems Doing Most Repairs on ANY Mechanical Equipment. I have Always been Mechanically Inclined. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
Good Luck
