Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.) - Snapper Riding LawnMower (electric start)

Expert: GEORGE - 5/1/2004

Question
Snapper Lawnmower will turn, but will not start, seems like it's not getting fuel.  What would you suggest.

Answer
SAM, I THOUGHT I ANSWERED BUT I GUESS IT DIDN'T GO.  PURCHASE SOME STARTING FLUID FROM THE NEARBY AUTO PARTS STORE, SPRAY SOME INTO THE AIR CLEANER AND TRY TO START IT UP IF IT GOES THEN IT WAS A DRY FUEL PRIMER. IF STILL NOTHING AFTER A COUPLE TRYS,,,WITH SOM SPUTTERING AND POOPING THEN IT MUST BE A FUEL PUMP ISSUE.  SAM, BE ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT YOU ARE GETTING SPARK BEFORE TRY THE ABOVE.

GEORGE
