Question I understand what you're saying about cleaning the carb. My problem is this, where and what does it look like and how do I get it off. Do you have any pictures? I would really like to do this myself.
Answer If you can locate the air filter, the carb is what it is attached to. You should locate a parts diagram using the model numbers from the engine. Most parts manuals for most makes of engines are available online if you search for the manufacturer (ie. Briggs & Stratton, Tecumseh, Kohler, etc.) You should have this information before you proceed with any disassembly. As long as you are meticulous in your work, this job can be completely fairly easily. Hope this helps.
