Question
I need to locate the carb on a model 917 briggs and stratton crafstman mower. the mower will start for about 5 seconds and then die.

Answer
 Hello Chris:

You will need the Model Numbers Stamped into the Blower Housing(metal engine cover) above the Spark Plug. Go to this Addy http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Follow the Instructions to View the Breakdown/IPL Manual Online and Get the Carburetor Part Number. You can Contact Michelle @205-669-2500 and she can Assist you if you can't Locate the Part Number. She can also Assist in the Pricing. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
