Question QUESTION: Hi,
I have a craftsman riding mower Model # 917.272067 16.0hp 42" deck automatic. When I start the mower the in-line 20 AMP fuse blows every time.
ANSWER: Hello Matt:
Does the Engine Start and then the Fuse Blows or Does the Fuse Blow when you Turn the Key on? Thanks.

QUESTION: it blows as soon as I turn the key.
Answer Hello Again Matt:
Ok Get Some Extra Fuses. Disconnect the Relay. Turn on the Switch. If the Fuse Blows, then Reconnect the Relay and Disconnect the Voltage Regulator and Turn on the Key. If the Fuse Blows, then Reconnect the Voltage Regulator and Disconnect the Small Wire on the Base of the Starter Solenoid. If the Fuse Still Blows, then Reconnect the Solenoid and Replace the Ignition Switch. If the Fuse Still Blows, thenCheck the Harness for a Bare Wire that is Grounding a Hot Wire. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
