Question John, I have a 10yr old 2500 series Simplicity (Massey) Tractor 1692493. It has a 12HP B&S I/C model 289707, type 0113-01, code 9503294B. that muffler is LOUD. it looks like surface rust on most of it, but it is solid, stout, loud and proud. how can i tame that bugger? do you know of a good aftermarket solution under $100? i saw a SuperTrapp S5 + resonator setup that ran around $100. i don't know if would fit so great though. thank you for making time for this forum.

From your Description it Sounds Like the Internal Baffles of the Muffler have Deteriated. The Part Number for the Muffler is B&S # 691874 and Lists for $35.00. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
