Question i am trying to wire a 17hp twin briggs. i am using just a simple igntion switch with 3 wires one for the coil one for the silnod one for battrie the stator wires are not hooked up i keep fring coils with the key on what do i need to do so i can get running
Answer Hello Kris:
The Coil Doesn't have a HOT Wire. The Coil will Fire the Spark Plug Unless the Lead from the Coil is Grounded. The Engine is Shut Off by Grounding the Coil. It Sounds like you have been hooking up the Coil to HOT and Not to Ground. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.
