Question
I have a gas blower that just quit will in use, changed fuel assmbly filter and plug with no change. Grounded spark plug, it fires out of blower. How do you test the ignition module to see if its good and any other suggestions. The blower is 3 year old craftsman.

Answer
Hi Robert
Your ignition module is fine.
First thing to suspect is soot buildup in the exhaust.  It only take a couple bolts and it comes apart easily.  Soot buildup here prevents proper breathing and an improper fuel/air mix, hence no firing.  Just be careful not to scratch the piston, you'll see it moving inside the cylinder.  Clean off all the soot buildup on all the exhaust parts and give her another go.
Lemme know what you find!
