Question I have a B&S 5.5hp mower that just recently started cutting out on me. I get it started, and as soon as I try to start mowing it dies....seems as if it is not getting enough fuel. Any ideas?
Answer Hello brad:
Check the Muffler and Exhaust Port for Carbon Blocking the Port or Muffler. If this is Clean, then Clean and Overhaul the Carburator. Old gas left in the Carburator turns to Varnish and Restricts the Flow of Gas into the Main Fuel Jet inside the carburator. Hope this Helps. Let me know what Happens, Please.
