Question My mower will start, but if I shut it off, I have to wait an hour or two before it will restart. Sometimes it turns over a bit, but putters out. I replaced the battery and checked the carburator, spark plugs.
Answer Hello Kandi:
Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool. It Could be Several Things. 1- Check the Spark Plug for Fire when this Happens. The Coil/Ignition Module May be Going Bad. 2- The Valves May Require Adjusting. When the Engine Heats Up the Valve Clearance Gets Closer from the Metal Expanding. While the Engine is Running the Closer Clearance Doesn't Hamper the Engines Performance. But Once the Engine is Stopped, the Closer Clearance Allows the Compression Release to Stay Open to Long and Decreases the Compression. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let Me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
