Question saw not idoling . only start with full choke. new plug . now it won't start unles soak plug in petrol. cheers trev.

It sounds like a lack of fuel flow to the engine. Probably a dirty or gummed carb. I would disassemble it and clean it. Adding a carb rebuild kit wouldn't hurt either. Check the in-tank fuel filter first. Also, make sure the air filter and exhaust spark arrester screen are clean.
