Question
Hello Wayne, I have a c.1990? Sunbeam 12-speed Mixmaster 60th Anniv Stand Mixer that works great, but I have to unplug it to turn it off. Sometimes it will turn off if I can get the dial between "off" and "1" just right. If the dial goes beyond the "off" setting (and it does sometimes) it actually speeds up a tiny bit. I sure would like to know what your thoughts are on this and what, if any recommendations you may have that will result in a fix for this problem.

Answer
There is a little tab on the control cap that turns the switch off. That tab may have broken of is worn. The switch on the circuit baard may be getting worn as well. The first thing to check is the screw in the center of the cap. If it is loose it will also cause this problem.
