About Jason Musgrove
Expertise
I`ve been a fan of The Smashing Pumpkins since 1993, and I have all the albums and U.S. CD singles. I can answer just about any question concerning the band`s beginning, how they picked their name, bios of the members, lyrics, discography, soundtracks, some personal info, and other news. I cannot answer questions about their tours.

Smashing Pumpkins - Was there ever a song?

Expert: Jason Musgrove - 12/11/2005

Question
I believe I heard a song by Smashing Pumpkins, that sounded so familiar to Everlong by The Foo Fighters. I am not sure what song this was, if it was retitled or re-did, or whatever. If you know what I am talking about, please tell me the name of this song and any other information regarding it. Thank you. 8)

Answer
Hi CJ,

As far back as I can remember, I dont recall the Pumpkins ever remaking a Foo Fighters song, not for an official release anyway.  However, there are a few songs the come to mind when I listen to Everlong.  The one I think resembles Everlong the CLOSEST, would be 'Stand Inside Your Love'.  It was the second single off of the "Machina: The Machines of God" album that was released in 2000.

Hope that helps!

If youre sure this isnt the right song, maybe you could give me a few more hints as to what song it might have been.  :)
