About Jason Musgrove
Expertise
I`ve been a fan of The Smashing Pumpkins since 1993, and I have all the albums and U.S. CD singles. I can answer just about any question concerning the band`s beginning, how they picked their name, bios of the members, lyrics, discography, soundtracks, some personal info, and other news. I cannot answer questions about their tours.

Question
i read the answer that the sound is an "oooooh" but i find it hard to go for. it sounds so much to me like "gwenevere" or "genevieve"...everyone i know has a different answer. is it possible for a sound to have such an impossible to nail down response from everyone? have they hit on some strange undefinable noise?

Answer
Jeff,

The explanation of the 'oooh' sound is from Billy himself, so thats the official answer.  If there is any other noise in there, Billy hasn't mentioned it.  I think the reason its so hard to define is because of all the digital manipulation they did.

If you want to be really sure, buy a good set of headphones and listen to it through them.  It should make the sound clearer.

Hope this helps. :)
