Question
I am a 14 years old boy playing for a team in Sweden. I'm pretty good but I am not not very long. I'd like to know hot to shoot with the most Accurate/power/curve.Where shall I hit the ball for example and please some exercises that gets me a better shot. I can shoot about 30 metres max or something. I'm playing right defender. It would be funny to know the soccer video that you like most on youtube as I watch loads of soccervideos everyday!
Thanks for a great site,

Answer
Hi Edvin

Learning to shoot accurately is quite tough. Firstly, it's important to hit the ball with your laces if you want to hit it with power.
If you want to curve the ball, you need to use the side of your foot. This gives you a good example of the logic of curving http://www.soccerballworld.com/Curving.htm

One very good exercise is standing between 15 and 30 metres away from a goal, and aim to shoot at the posts or the crossbar. Of course, it's very easy to miss them, but with practice, it will really improve your accuracy. Once you've gained a bit of accuracy, try aiming for the two corners of the goal.

I don't really watch youtube, because I'm too busy after coaching - every night, I just sleep.

If there is any part that you don't understand, pls send me a message again, and I'll clarify it.

Good luck!
