Question We just received the graduation annoucement we are to send out for our daughters high school graduation. One line on the annoucement says "two-thirty o'clock in the Afternoon".
Is the "o'clock" correct and should "afternoon" be capitalized? It seems to me it should read "two-thirty in the afternoon". Can you claify.
Answer Dear Kathy,
Half past two o'clock is correct, two thirty o'clock is not correct.
Usually with invitations almost everything is capitalized except
the conjunctions, etc. It depends on which form the are using.
