Subject: 50th wedding anniversary gift

Question
Hi,
We have been invited to a 50th wedding anniversary for parents of relatively close friends. Should we bring/send a gift and what is appropriate?

Answer
Dear Kelly,
After 50 years of marriage, they have probably accumulated all
of the "stuff" they need. You are not required to take a gift,
but if you do make it a disposable luxury item. (A gift card to
a restaurant,flowers,a bottle of champagne,etc.)

                                           Best regards,
                                             Amanda Gamble
