Expert: Amanda Gamble Date: 7/16/2008 Subject: WEDDING GIFT
Question It's been so long...do I remember the wedding gift is sent to the bride before the wedding? We're thousands of miles away and want to mail a cashier's check. Do we have it made to both...first name only...bothk using new last name...bride name...or what?
Answer Dear Joan,
Yes,please do mail the check to the bride at her home and make
it out to her with her maiden name. This makes it easier on everyone
concerned,especially your respective financial institutions.
You may wish to include a note to both the bride and groom.
