Question Is it etiquette to invite family and close friends to a 50th Anniversary with notation on invitation "Dutch Treat"?
If so, is there anywhere to view suggestions on how to word the invitation, OR do you also offer this information?
Thank you all for your time and assistance in this matter.
Answer Dear Sherlyn,
Thanks for asking this good question. No, it is not proper etiquette to send out an invitation stating 'Dutch Treat'. Such invitations are best delivered in person and verbally. Remember that anyone who wants to host a party must also pay for it. Otherwise they aren't they aren't the host. In this particular case, the hosting duties are asked to be shared by all the guests. A written invitation would not be appropriate and would very likely serve to irritate rather than welcome guests. Hope this helps. Jay
