Social Etiquette and Good Manners/language

my wifis  and i are french wen invited at ebglish speaking friendsis it polite to to converse between us in french in front of our hosts

Dear Serge:

Thank you for your question.

I recommend that you speak with your wife in English when attending gatherings where the majority of guests is speaking English and when your host or other guests are within hearing distance of you. When you speak in French, there is the possibility that others will think you are commenting negatively about the hosts, guests, surroundings, accommodations, etc.
