Social Etiquette and Good Manners/signing cards

Question
(One) Christmas card to son, daughter-in-law and baby grandson.
How should we sign it? Mum and PapÓ? Diane and Antonio? Grandma and Nonno?
Thank you for your attention.
Diane.

Answer
Dear Diane-
Your grandchild is not the sole recipient of the card so you sign it the way your daughter-in-law refers to you.
Women have a higher position than men in social etiquette so you defer to your son's wife.
In the future when your grandchild is older you should send them their own card and sign it the way they know you.

Happy Holidays.
