Question Should I bring a gift to a retirement party. The invitation only states location and time.

Answer Dear Mr Berger,
A guest is never required to 'pay for the privlege'
of being invited somewhere. So,no you are not required
to bring a gift,or really expected to for a retirement.
Only do so if you really want to and your bank account
permits it. This last line may be referenced the next
time you are invited to a wedding,a birthday and Bar
Mitzvah..
