Question
What are the underlying knowledge base of the theories and intervention models/frameworks that encompass social work

Answer
Hi Phil

its a too general and broad question for anyone to answer at one go. However, I shall draw your attention to the following:

- Clinical Social Work is based on the premise of understanding, predicting and controlling human behavior.

- Social Work as a discipline draws from multiple primary disciplines including Sociology, Social Psychology, Social Anthropology, Organisational Behavior, Economics, and Political Science.

- Social Work is a helping profession, primarily aims at helping the needy, deprived, disadvantaged sections of the Society.

- Social Workers require appropriate knowledge, skill sets and attitude to practice the profession.

Hope that helps
