Softball - Mizuno Glove

Expert: Tom Mielke - 6/28/2009

Question
My daughter has a black Mizuno glove with green lettering (color of the ball). I have been told that some Umpires disqualify the glove due to the green color.
I have also been told that Mizuno has approval from a Softball organization (ASA, NSA,?).
Have you read any such approval?

Answer
I have not seen anything in writing but have heard the same as you.

My advice, throw some black electrical tape in your daughters equipment bag for the nit-picking umps.

If your daughter doesn't care, you could use a black sharpie to black out the logo.
