Experience I am a registered ASA umpire, a MASA "At-Large" umpire since 1996 and a retired District Umpire-In-Chief. I have very extensive experience in MASA State Championship and ASA national qualifying tournament play both as an umpire and an Umpire-In-Chief. Question As an umpire how would you call the strike zone on batters who get set in the back of the batter box but then run towards the ball after it has been pitched?

I'd call the same as any other batter in SP

The SZ doesn't change if the batter is back, up or moving through the box.
