The answer given is pretty much on the money with one exception. While its true there is no rest rule in ASA, as they play more double headers and tournaments than little league, there is an inning rule that states pitchers get 7 innings per every two games. In a 3 to 4 game week they will pitch a max of 14 innings. The only exceptions would be tournaments, still 7 innings every 2 games, until championship rounds which are then "open" innings. Also rec level often plays double headers on weekends back to back. On a tournament weekend you can expect to play 1 to 4 games minimum up to 6,7 or more games in a weekend.

Also will gladly answer questions, to the best of my ability, about scoring, coaching, gear, equipment, slow pitch, and non-ASA and non-NFHS softball. An ASA or NFHS answer might not apply, though, to your team or league. Then please mention your team's or league's Organization. If I'm able to access your Organization's rules book, then I will! I am neither an expert umpire nor a softball expert. I am a current, working umpire who will answer your softball question to the best of my ability.
