About Elizabeth Howell
Expertise
I have a large interest in space history, particularly the American and Canadian space programs. I can answer your questions about the people, events, discoveries, and other historical details in human and robotic missions. My strongest area of knowledge is the Apollo moon program.

Experience
Experience in the area:
I am largely self-taught. I read every book on space exploration I can get my hands on, and have a good general knowledge of past and present space programs. I use a variety of resources, such as encyclopedias, astronaut autobiographies, and online reports for recent information.

Space Exploration - The Goldilocks Theory

Question
what is The Goldilocks Theory

Answer
Sepler,

The Goldilocks theory is pretty simple. It covers how close a planet has to be to its sun to support life, using a famous phrase from the fairy tale "Goldilocks and the Three Bears."

The story is here if you are not familiar with it:
http://www.dltk-kids.com/rhymes/goldilocks_story.htm

The idea is the planet cannot be too close (which would make it "too hot") or too far (which would make it "too cold"). It has to be somewhere in between to make conditions "just right" for life!

Good luck,

Elizabeth
