Question
to say "on the weekends" can I simply say "los fines de semana"?  It is my understanding that I don't need "en" because this works like the days of the week ie: el lunes = on Monday; los lunes = on Mondays.
Thanks for your help

Answer
Hi Jackie:

To say "on the weekends", you will need to use "en"

On the weekends = en los fines de semana

If you say "los fines de semana" you will mean only "the weekends"

When you say: los Lunes, you are saying "the Mondays" not "On Mondays"

The "on" in this case equals to "en"

and "los" (el, la, or Los) equals "The"

Let me know if you need other examples or if you need any other help

Saludos
