Hello, thanks for the quick reply. I know when you just translate using word to word or an online translater it does not add up right. When I translated it it came across as you are my best friend of drunkeness. But to someone who spoke spanish how would it sound to translate it to english? Does Eres mi mejor amiga de borrachera sound okay in spanish - would they take you are the best drinking buddy ever?
Sorry to ask such dumb questions. I grew up in a town full of 80% Hispanic but never learned how to speak Spanish but love hearing it. Anyways also trying to learn a little and how things work.

-----Question-----
Hello I was wondering if you could please translate the following into Spanish. My close friend is learning Spanish and I thought she would like it if I text her something in Spanish.Anyways if you could please translate

You are the best drinking buddy ever

Thanks, Angela
-----Answer-----
Hi Angela.

Here it is:

"Tu eres mi mejor cuate de borrachera"
or in a more colloquial wording
Eres mi mejor cuate de peda

The word "cuate" is applied to males, if your buddy is female, you would settle for friend "amiga" instead

Eres mi mejor amiga de borrachera.

Thanks for asking

Saludos

Hi Angela:

Here is where you start hitting on cultures vs. age range vs. location.

"Eres mi mejor amiga de borrachera" sound right in spanish, although in traditional Latin culture, you would not refer to friends as just for drinking. even we all have :-).

Here are some alternatives, depending on the context, one will be more adequate than the other.

Eres mi mejor amiga de parranda
Eres mi mejor amiga de farra (rolled R)
Eres mi mejor amiga de peda

In any of the variations, she will understand that She is your best drinking buddy.

Thanks for asking, If you need anything else, please let me know

Saludos

Answer
