Question
my name is charles and I have ms. I have been following your leadership on the boards (raw paleo forum). For some reason I am not able to post on that forum and was hoping to get opinions from  others who follow this diet on how to reverse this horrible disease. I need to know what will rebuild my myelin. I would also like to know if anyone knows of someone who reversed this disease by eating this diet.Aajonus talks about reversing every other disease except ms. Can you put up a post for me in hopes it will accumulate info for me. You do not have to e-mail me back through " All Experts" but please pray for me

Answer
You may have had a problem with registering on the Rawpaleoforum. To do so, you have to click on "Register", found  on the top left area of the forum website (hhttp://www.rawpaleoforum) and then just put in username, password/verify password, put in the code shown in the box above, select your own country, scroll down the page and click the "I agree" box.

You can post immediately afterwards, just go to the topo-right quadrant of the main forum and click on "new topic" or click on "reply" to post.

You may have omitted putting your country in or something.
If you have already registered with no issues, and have done the usual stuff re trying to post, but it still doesn't work, please e-mail me (clicking the private box) and provide me with your e-mail-address, and I'll post it to the Rawpaleoforum administrator, who will see what other problem there may be, if any.

Re post:- In the meantime, I'll post an enquiry on your behalf on Rawpaleoforum. I would strongly suggest that you also post on the following forums as well :-

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/live-food/

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RAV-Food/

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/rawpaleodiet/

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/primaldiet/

(To join primal diet yahoo group, you have to send an e-mail to the owner of that group:-

primaldiet-owner@yahoogroups.com
- you have to state that you've read Aajonus' book "We Want To Live" in order to be allowed to join)

You could always e-mail Aajonus directly to find someone who has recovered from MS on his diet - he's a busy man, so may take time to answer, if at all(he's often away abroad etc.), but here's his e-mail-address:-

optimal@earthlink.net

Other than that, I've heard some encouraging reports from MS-related groups/websites re a lightly-cooked Palaeolithic diet being beneficial for MS sufferers as it excludes grains and dairy which are notorious for causing inflammation and auto-immune problems. Cooked-food also causes a lot of inflammation, so, IMO, as long as you go for RAF diets(minus any raw dairy or any fermented grains, however raw), you should at least experience some benefit as regards significantly reduced inflammation. I've come across numerous reports online about people recovering from all sorts of diseases on a RAF diet(even genetic illnesses such as Grave's Disease), yet, in many cases, they would be  wrongly told by doctors that they would have no choice but to continue to self-medicate, as there was no cure.

Expertise

I can answer most questions on Raw Animal and Vegetable Food Diets such as the Primal Diet, an organic, raw-meat-based diet and a number of similiar all-raw or partially raw Paleolithic diets, such as the Instincto, Weston-Price, Neanderthin, Paleo and Stefansson Diets. Can also offer advice on how to resist social pressure to eat cooked foods etc. For further info on Raw-Animal-Food diets, it's a good idea to browse through GoodSamaritan's website, http://www.rawpaleodiet.com/ , and also to join the following two forums and read their message-archives :- rawpaleoforum.com and http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/rawpaleodiet/

Experience

I have been 8 years on a 99%+ raw version of the Palaeolithic Diet and experienced numerous health benefits as a result, being fully recovered from my previous symptoms from my cooked-food days. My own individualised raw, paleolithic diet routine is mostly based on Aajonus Vonderplanitz's Primal Diet(ie 99% raw, usage of "high-meat",no processed supplements, using primarily naturally-reared, organic or wild sources of raw foods) but, for personal reasons, I have also been, to some extent, influenced by ideas from:- Instincto(ie:- taste/instinct,no raw dairy/no raw veggie juice), Weston-Price(eg: preferring grassfed meat to grainfed meat, incorporating a wide variety of raw organ-meats into my diet along with the usual muscle-meats, and Vilhjalmur Stefansson(high-fat diet, pretty high proportion of (raw) animal food), but also eating some raw carbohydrates such as raw organic/wild fruit/veg/honeycomb etc.). I'm also a firm believer in the feast-and-famine idea (ie Intermittent Fasting) as regards boosting one's energy levels, and giving my body a rest from constant digestion.

Organizations
Rawpaleodiet Community(Comprising rawpaleoforum , rawpaleodiet yahoo group and the rawpaleodiet.com website among others).

Publications
Allexperts and Rawpaleodiet.com

Education/Credentials
No nutritional qualification(I don't believe in standard(misguided) nutritionist doctrine, so I don't feel the need). I simply rely on mine and many others' long-term experiences of raw, palaeolithic diets and I've read most of the books that are vaguely relevant to a raw-meat diet.
