Question
i have stopped smpking 2 years ago.since then my metabolism has gone slow(i think )and i have put on weight that i can not get rid off! i have tried many diets and exercise but nothing seems to work. Is there e special diet for people after quiting smoking or is it a myth that metabolism changes after having stopped smoking.
thank you.

Answer
Evigeo,
Quitting smoking doesn't slow down your metabolism. However, smokers are in the the habit of having something in their mouths, and after they lose cigarettes, they're prone to eating to soothe the urge to have something in the mouth. There's no special diet for ex-smokers. You should choose a diet according to what you think you can stick with for the rest of your life-pick something that you'll be allowed to eat favorite foods.
