Question
i want to lose some weight and i know that certain fats help in the process. i have purchased CLA, flax oil and coconut oil. i have heard that i cant combine cla with flax as they compete for absorption. then, what about the other fats? do i need to ingest them seperately also? as each of the three fats i mentioned work in different ways.
the fats i consume via diet include; eggs, beef, chicken.
should i take the cla with the chicken?, the flax with the eggs?..etc..? it is so confusing. i'm pretty clued up about nutrition but i haven't done a degree in biochemistry!
hope you ( or someone) can help. cheers. annette

Answer
Annette,
Yes, you can combine cla with flax. Try not to take more than 20-25 grams of fat all at once, because that's when you'll stop absorbing all of it. The amount of fats in supplements is usually pretty small and you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
