Question
What kind of results are coming from people on The Sonoma Diet?  Is there any nutritional deficiencies in this diet?  Are any of our main food groups/vitamins/minerals being left out? Are there any side effects?

Answer
Dear Kursula,

I don't know of too many results on Sonoma diet, but what I know sounds encouraging. People reporting losing up to 10 pounds in three weeks while not feeling deprived.

It's a diet with a strong scientific backup so unlike Atkins, it hasn't to wait until clinical trials come up with pro or contra results. It's all about healthy eating habits, healthy cooking, and healthy foods, emphasizing fresh produce and wine. As far as I'm concerned, only "bad" food groups are left out. Never heard of any side effects.

If you enroll online, you have more detailed support and 500 recipes. People find them delicious and not so hard to cook.

Expertise

I am in neurophysiology since 1972, my research started with studies of neuronal interactions in the hypothalamic centers of hunger and satiety. I worked for 20 years in interdisciplinary teams, with physicists and mathematicians, as an expert in neuroscience preparing conceptual models of brain regulatory systems for their further implications in larger-scale mathematical and computer modeling. Since 2007, I focus on the metabolic aspects of neuroprotection.
