Question
hey, is it possible to lose 15 lbs in one month by following atkins diet?? im 5'2 and 117 lbs. i exercise 45 minutes on treadmill 6 days a week and try to swim everyday also.  is 15lbs possible w/in one month?? thanks

Answer
Miss Kitty,
It's easy to lose 15 pounds in one month on Atkins-that is, if you were an obese sedentary person whose exercise routine consisted of reaching to the drive thru window to get your French fries.
Unfortunately, since you're already active and healthy, there's no diet in the world that will cause fast weight loss. In fact, you'll find it extremely difficult to lose more than 2-3 pounds by dieting, since you're already thin. If you want to get smaller, try weight lifting. You won't see weight loss, since muscle is heavier than fat, but you'll lose inches. You can use a body fat scale to measure your progress.
Melissa
