Question I do yoga in the morning and I do martial arts a couple times a week in the evenings. My work involves sitiing behind a desk pretty much all day. I was wondering what your thoughts were on eating lightly on fuit and fresh fruit juices during the day and then having one main meal at night. Also while eating this way should I consume a large meal in the evenings so that my body has enough calories to fuel my body?
Answer Eating one meal in day is not a good idea. I think, any artificial diet regime can't last for long as it puts strain on your body and mind. Better to take at least two meals in a day.
You must never starve yourself but must feel hungry at least once in day. This is a simple thumb rule. Your focus should be to eat in the right quantity so that by the next meal, you feel hungry. But do not remain hungery for more than one hour unless you are fasting once in a while.
If your weight is normal then your activity appears normal. If you have the tendency to gain weight then you may take a long walk (at least half an hour) in the morning. This will increase your physical activity and also calm your mind.
