I am certified to teach and have experience with students with learning disabilities, mental disabilities, and behavior disorders. My license is Cross-Categorical Special Education. I also specialize in the teacher education field. I can answer questions pertaining to teaching such students, as well as preparing adults to become special education teachers.

Experience
I taught as a Special Education teacher in the public school system for 7 years prior to becoming a Research Associate and Adjunct Instructor at a local university in the Special Education department in 2007. I also teach special education courses to student teachers as an adjunct in the BS program.

Education/Credentials
I have a BS in Education of the Deaf and Hearing Impaired, a second BS in Special Education, and Masters in Special Education. I am currently in a PhD program specializing in Special Education Leadership. I finished my coursework in April 2009 and am currently in the Dissertation phase of my program.
