hI, Would you be able to tell me what effect you think the spice girls have had on youth culture i.e their dress sense, lyrics etc. What are your personal views of them and who do you think has been most successful?

At the time they first came out they had a HUGE effect on youth culture. Girls copied their styles from head to toe they brought back the platform shoe and inspired a generation of young girls to have "girl power". Their song lyrics were fun and funky and had a very positive and uplifting message of fun and freedom. I personally think they were a wonderful influence on girls because they brought about a spirit of independence and strength. By the looks of it i would say that Mel C. has had the most success in America but Victoria is the one we still hear about in the UK news so over all i would have to say Victoria has been the most successful.
