I recently heard that the spice girls are the biggest selling British band in America of the last 10 years is this true?  I understand that Coldplay, radiohead and James Blunt and, to a lesser extent, Oasis have had success in the usa, but is it true that that no British act has made the same impact in the usa since the spice girls?widy5

I would believe that the statement is correct.  While the other Brit bands you've mentioned has enjoyed some success, sales aren't the same as the buzz they generate.  I think they generate more buzz than sales while it can be said that the Spice Girls really did sell ALOT of records, so yes, they are the best selling British music band in the last decade or so...
