Spices & Seasonings - scrambled eggs

Expert: Alan Vogel - 10/28/2008

Question
Alan,
On Sundays we go to a little cafe & I order scrambled eggs
with home fries. The eggs are so delicious & I wonder
what makes them taste so peppery & savory. Do you have
any idea what seasoning could be in them? Thank you!
Sara

Answer
Hello Sara,  Not much to go on but since you did not mention black flakes, I would first say white pepper. Then garlic powder and /or onion powder. They may make the eggs with a little dab of cream instead of milk.
Try those and let me know if it works.
