Question
I have a BBQ sauce recipe I want to market locally in the Tallahassee, FL market. Can you provide any insight into how to find someone to blend, bottle and label economically? Am I better off trying to make a deal with an established sauce maker? Thanks, JFMoore,

Answer
Sorry it took so long to answer.

The first thing I would say explore all possibilities in regards to making your sauce.  In Texas we have a "Go Texan" label that is from our state department of agriculture. If the product is manufactured in the state we can put that label on our bottle.  What this does for you is it can provide shortcuts to finding co-packer that will help. Talk to allot of them, do your research on them.  I really didn't and it cost me money. I could write a book about this but start there and see if that helps.
Let me know how it goes and please ask me anytime as you get into the process.
