Spices & Seasonings - dry smoke flavoring

Expert: Alan Vogel - 9/22/2008

Question
I can purchase 'liquid smoke' for my chicken marinade/ basting sauce but I can't
find JUST dry smoke seasoning to add to my rub mix w/o a lot of other
ingredients. Any sources?

Answer
John,  you can buy hickory and mesquite smoke flavor from Spice etc. out of Atlanta GA.  They are a pure smoke flavor without any adders. I do not know of a Just smoke dry ingredient. Hope this helps.
