Question Alan: Can you tell me the difference between table salt, kosher salt and pickeling salt. I made some pickles and have a lot of the salt that I purchased to make them ,left over. Can I use this salt for cooking and table use? I hate to waste it and don't know if it will be good, when I make more next year. Thank you.
Answer Darlene, The 3 are basically the same table salt is a fine grind where kosher and pickling are not as fine of a grind. Kosher salt is certified as having no other ingredients but salt.
You can use table salt, kosher or pickling salt as the same. if you want Kosher or Pickling salt like table salt just put those in grinding mill.
