Spices & Seasonings - To much Seasoning

Question
I made clam chowder with potatoes. I added Old Bay seasoning and added to much. I read that I could add cream or potatoes to help. Are these the only options I have? How much should I add in what increments?

Answer
Howdy Traci,

Adding cream would my first choice, Add 1/2 cup of cream with a tablespoon of sugar.  The cream will dilute the seasoning and the sugar will tone down the taste.  You did not tell me how much you made so I am guessing at the size. you can add potatoes, add them raw so they can pick up as much as the flavor as possible.

Let me know how this works and we can go from there.
