Sports Medicine/Shoulder injury while boxing

I suffered a shoulder injury six months back. The MRI reports show the following
1:mild shoulder joint effusion
2:mild fluid in subacromial and subcoracoid bursa and along bicep tendon
I want to recover 100%.Can u shed some light on what does the above to problem means. And Doctor also said that My joints are Hyper laxative which caused this injur. what can i do any steroids for making my bones stronger.I want to continue boxing.a

Hi Ankit- you need to work with orthopaedist  & physical therapist to properly rehabilitate your shoulder. MRI showing Fluid & bursitis means areas still angry or inflamed. Acupuncture or chiropractic care are also options but stay away from any steroids with possible exception of cortisone injection if your doctor recommends. Laxity or looseness can be helped again with proper physical therapy supervision.
Again- steroids have nothing to do with strengthening bones & are counter- productive. Get a plan with sports medicine Dr & therapist for safe return to boxing. Good luck,..Dr. Bob Weil
