Answer
Hi Adham- again I am not an expert regarding all the specific tests done by NFL football teams to evaluate players. There are various medical specialists in areas of internal medicine, Orthopaedics, sports psychology, podiatry, optometry & chiropractic all evaluating things like:
1. Internist- blood work, BMI study, general health etc, allergies
2. Orthopaedist- muscle, joint, eval, Strength & ROM tests
3.sports psychology- mental health, focus, & character traits, concentration skills etc.
4.podiatry- foot mechanics, shoe criteria
5. Optometry- eye health, hand eye coordination
6. Strength & conditioning - power, speed, agility, quickness
7.chiropractic & physical therapy- core strength, joint ROM, upper & lower extremity stability
8.nutritionist- optimum diet & body fueling
ETC.-- hope this helps... Dr. Bob Weil
