Sports Medicine/Knee

Are knee sleeves helpful

Hi Silvano- In general, you can't go wrong with a knee sleeve but it depends on what you're looking for it to do. Adding some mild support & mild compression can be helpful. Getting diagnosis of knee problem is important as far as what type of sleeve or if it includes bracing capabilities etc. Again, the reason you would be using the sleeve is the key. If no specific condition like arthritis, previous injury etc. is involved, then sleeve could be used to keep area warm & provide mild compression. If in doubt, get your Dr's or physical therapist opinion. Hope this helpful... Dr. Bob Weil
