About Jon Anderson
Expertise Please note: I will answer questions regarding value of cards. I cannot make this a trading card "price guide lookup service" as that would not be fair or ethical in regards to the trading card pricing magazines. When asking about specific cards, please include the name of the card company, year, and card # if possible.
I can answer questions about:
Baseball cards (1970's to present)
Basketball cards (1980's to present)
Football cards (1980's to present)
Nascar racing cards (1980's to present)
Sports memorabilia in the 4 areas listed above.
Experience I have collected, researched, and studied sports cards and memorabilia for 18 years. I have a great wealth of knowledge in this area, and I am very familiar with the current market and industry trends.

QUESTION: Sorry Jon, the card number is 223. I do not know when it
was signed and it looks like it was signed in person. Thanks.
Answer Joe,
Autographed cards that are listed with the price guide company's and have set values are certified by the trading card company. Certified autographed cards didnt make the scene until 1990 and were very scarce. Your card probably has an authentic signature on the card; however, since the card is not certified by the trading card company the value is difficult to determine. The card will have sentimental value to the owner, but it will be a difficult sale.
To increase the value of your card, you can send the card to an authentication company. If your card is indeed hand signed by Lester Hayes, you will have a valuable card. The certification or authentication keeps autographed memorabilia legit. I would suggest sending the card to James Spence Authentication or PSA/DNA. This is their realm of the business and they certify autographs of sports figures, historical figures, and celebrities.
Hope this helps
-Jon
