About Jon Anderson
Expertise
Please note: I will answer questions regarding value of cards. I cannot make this a trading card "price guide lookup service" as that would not be fair or ethical in regards to the trading card pricing magazines. When asking about specific cards, please include the name of the card company, year, and card # if possible. I can answer questions about: Baseball cards (1970's to present) Basketball cards (1980's to present) Football cards (1980's to present) Nascar racing cards (1980's to present) Sports memorabilia in the 4 areas listed above.

Question
I have complete Topps baseball sets from 1963, 1966,1967 and 1969 that were purchased as sets from the Card Collectors Co.
These sets did not come from individual packages and are in the same condition that they arrived in.
My question is. Are they more valuable than other sets

Thank you

Tom

Answer
Tom,

Thank you for your question. Factory sets that are issued directly by the trading card companies usually bring a premium (especially unopened factory sealed sets). Most likely, Topps made these sets and used the Card Collectors Co as the distributor. The reason that factory sets are usually worth more than hand made sets is that the cards in the factory sets have probably not been handled as much as built sets. I dont know how much you know about baseball cards, but there are several very valuable cards in these sets.
