About Jon Anderson
Expertise
Please note: I will answer questions regarding value of cards. I cannot make this a trading card "price guide lookup service" as that would not be fair or ethical in regards to the trading card pricing magazines. When asking about specific cards, please include the name of the card company, year, and card # if possible. I can answer questions about: Baseball cards (1970's to present) Basketball cards (1980's to present) Football cards (1980's to present) Nascar racing cards (1980's to present) Sports memorabilia in the 4 areas listed above.

Sports Trading/Collect Cards - Jeter/A-rod Ball

Expert: Jon Anderson - 11/5/2009

Question
My wife has an autographed baseball signed by both A-rod and Jeter from an allstar game when they didn't play together.  They personalized it to her.

Just wondering what it would be worth.

Thanks

Tyler

Answer
Tyler,
I would suggest sending the ball to a 3rd party authenticator to get a certificate of authenticity such as PSA/DNA or James Spence Authentication. Signed sports memorabilia without certification is worth considerabily less than certified memorabilia. For example, your ball would probably sell for $50-$100 on EBay without certification, but could fetch as much as $350 with certification.

Hope this helps
-Jon
