Sports Trading/Collect Cards/Baseball Card Collection Appraisal

Question
Hi Normand,
I am thinking of selling my childhood baseball collection in order to pay for an engagement ring.  I am operating under the assumption that I should get the collection appraised, then figure out if it is worth it to sell the collection.  Is this assumption correct?  If so, where can I get it appraised?  If it turns out that the collection has some value, where should I attempt to sell it?  Any guidance you could give me would be greatly appreciated.  Also, if you need more information, please do not hesitate to ask.  Thanks so much.  -Seth

Answer
Seth,

Thanks so much for the question!!

First of all, you are correct in saying that you need an appraisal.

Appraisal's can be had at any card shop or you can have someone like me do a card by card appraisal.  Both these suggestions take time.  I'd be willing to do at a 10 card per week interval.  I'll be back from vacation on 7/18/05 so you can email me at norm37c@aol.com if you wish.

Selling can be done on Ebay.  I've been selling on Ebay for the last 6 years and had no problems.

Hope this helps!
